Dear Mr Larkin,
I just wanted to say thank you for sharing some of your resources and findings. I am going into my second year of teaching and unfortunately my experience as a first year teaching found that teachers do not share resources and there is a big mentality that “I did it tough.. so you have to too”. I just wanted to show my appreciation. Have a wonderful 2017.

Hi John, just wanted to say thanks – I stumbled across a post on your old site about a gig Elvis Costello did with The Confederates at Shellharbour Workers Club in ’87. I was there! Wonderful to hear that clip of the final (of many) encores… I remember him saying that bit about being “halfway to Sydney”. It remains one of the best gigs I’ve seen, and obviously resonated with EC as well, as I recall him reminiscing about it in Q magazine years later. Thanks again. Best, Brad.
