Chinatown ~ people and places

The photographs on this page were taken from November, 2003 through to January, 2004. Chinatown in Singapore has come back to life in the last 6 months. Three things have contributed to this comeback. The re-opening of Eu Tong Seng Street to traffic in both directions, the end of the SARs situation and the opening of the new North East MRT line. The area has been revitalised.

We love visiting Chinatown for a meal and an iced tea at our favourite coffee shop on the corner of Pagoda and Trengannu Streets. Lots of people and lots of things to look at each time you go there. The coffee shop has sinced moved next door.
