I
took it relatively easy today. I went for a walk along Orchard
Road and picked up a couple of albums. I purchased a new
release by Nick
Cave and a re-issue of a Velvet
Underground release called Live
At Max's Kansas City (scroll down). I had lunch at my
favourite eating place in Chinatown.
During the afternoon I caught up on some sleep. It has been
very hot in Singapore during the last couple of days. Day

I took some photographs from the hotel window. The first four photograps are
with a standard lens. The last four photographs were taken using a telephoto
lens. The cast created by the glass of the window was eliminated using Photoshop.
During
the afternoon I was awoken by an earth tremor. It was about 6:30PM.
There was an earthquake near Sumatra, Indonesia and it was felt
here in Singapore as a tremor. The hotel room shook to and fro
a little and the bottles in the bar fridge rattled. Later on
that night a second earthquake also woke me up. There are reports
on the quake here:
