tips ~ easy slideshow |
Introduction
Have you ever spent ages creating a slideshow of images in powerpoint or any
other software programme? Here is a fast and efficient way to create a simple
slideshow for use during a presentation or classroom lesson.
Gather
together all your images in a single folder.
Locate
all of the images you wish to display in
your slideshow into a single folder. See
the example below. They do not need to be
named in any particular way unless you wish
for the images to appear in a particular
order. You will then need to rename and number
your images in numerical order.
|
|
Select all of the images
Select
all of the images in the folder. You can do
this by clicking on the folder and typing 'Command~A'.
You can also move your mouse to the Edit menu
and click on the menu item 'Select All'. See
the example below.
|
|
Once you have selected all the files they
will be highlighted as below.
|
|
Select Slideshow from the pop-up menu
Control~click
or right~mouse click on the selected files
and
select Slideshow
from the pop-up menu. See the example
below.
|
|
Explore the slideshow controls
The
screen will darken and the first image will
appear. If you move the mouse towards the
foot of the screen the slideshow controls
will appear. See below.
|
|
The
slideshow controls will allow you to:
-
Go
to the previous image
-
Pause
or start the slideshow
-
Go
to the next image
-
View
an Index Sheet of all the images
- Fit
the slide show to the screen dimensions
-
Export
an image to iPhoto
-
Quit
the slide show
|
|
If
you click on the Index Sheet button
a screen displaying all the
images will be
shown. Click on a thumbnail to jump to that
image.
